Chiwa to the rescue!!

I moved to Gulf Shores this weekend, so I almost didn't make it to the Sunday hunt... ALMOST!! We decided we'd make a quick run to Blue Rock. We put Hound Dog, Whitey, Chiwa, and Rick out on the ground and make a quick trip out to the field. Next thing we knew, they had made a bee line to a little side patch, and out came a decent sized hog while the boys were running another one. So, I put my girl Tanner on the ground and away she went. 5 miles later we caught back up with them. The boys had jumped the track they were on and got in with Tanner. They had him bayed solid about 120 yards from the ranger. When I heard Henry and ever body make it to the hog I started calling dogs off. Tanner came back and Whitey too. I saw Chiwa and then all of a sudden he took a hard turn to the left and about 5 minutes later he was bayed again. I didn't know what he had so I sent Tanner and Whitey too him. Caught hog number 2! Never saw Chiwa and 20 minutes later he finally stopped the third one and was bayed again. We finally found a place to cross the slew and sent Rolo and Tip to him. Caught hog number 3!!

This is the first black boar from the field.

This is the third relay hog and what the kids had to go through to get it :)

Me and Chiwa and his two hogs he bayed alone!

After all of that excitement died down, we bayed one more time before we called it quits... about 200 yards through a briar patch, but the reward was worth it.

After this bad boy, we called it a day so that I could finish packing and make the move to GS. Hopefully, there will be more hogs to come next weekend.
