River Time...

This has been the busiest yet the most fun weekend that I've ever had. On Thursday and Friday I have cooking classes at Faullkner State College... on Thursdays I have Culinary sculpting and these are my marzipan sculptures...

 

And then on Friday's I have a European Cake class... this is the Yellow sponge cake with a mocha swiss buttercream...

 



So after I made that cake I made the 3 hour drive home and once I got home I was immediately thrown in to the "country life" again. Had to hook up the horse trailor, walked 2 miles to try to find my horse just to realize he was at the barn, and wash him and groom him up for the show Saturday night. We came home and hooked up the four wheeler trailor, gassed up the ranger, loaded the dog box, and loaded the ranger.
Alarm went off at 4:30 Saturday morning and the normal hunting routine went on... we finally caught one in the briar thicket of Water's clearcut (where we aren't supposed to be)....

Saturday night I got the honor to be asked to carry the flag for out National Anthem and prayer.

We finished the night with 2 first place ribbons and one second place... we lost to a MULE!! I didn't even mind losing to the mule because she was beautiful and I loved her! My best friend Tiffany showed too and she finished the night with a first, second, third, and a fourth place. So, we racked up some ribbons lol.

 

We got up Sunday and caught 2 hogs...

 

And then we went to the sandbar...

 



 



We left the sandbar that night close to 1am.
Monday I got up around 8am and got a rude awakening. Dad had loaded some of his bulls (that had escaped) into the horse trailor. For those of you who don't know, cows poop EVERY WHERE! Well, I had to wash the trailor out before it dried. Then we took the trailor back to the barn and unhooked it and then wormed all the dogs down there. Then I came home and wrapped some corn on the cob in some tinfoil with some butter and Tony's so we could put it on the grill at the sandbar. Loaded everything into the truck and set off to the river and we finally get home around 1am again. I had to get up at 6:30am and leave by 8 to make the three hour drive back to my condo and then go to a 5 hour math class starting at 2pm.
Needless to say, I went to bed at 9pm last night and did not get up until 8:30 this morning... That's the most I've slept in my entire life! Lol

I know that I have been updating a lot on one day, but Wednesdays are my only days off, so from now on I Will update on every Wednesday!
