Turkey Season

I know it's been a while since I updated, but my life has been kinda chaotic lately. As most of you know, turkey season started in March for us. I've never really enjoyed turkey hunting, but I go. Why? Because it makes my dad happy. Usually it's because Jim forces me to get up and go. However, Jim is not staying with us this year so he does not have the power to do that. First weekend was youth... Jim's son Brax missed one. Next 2 weekends in a row Dad killed 2 and Brax killed 2. So Dad 3 Brax 2. Jim had yet to kill one. So, last weekend was my Spring Break. Jim had asked if I wanted to go. I said no.... Here's what I missed...
My Dad, Jim, and Tanner

My dad, Jim, Tanner and his dad Shannon

Dad, Todd, Shannon. Jim, Tanner, and George

Everybody telling the stories of their hunts... (my favorite part :))

Our photogropher (Lisa Tucker) did an amazing job getting them all to smile. That really is a hard job!

Things are going to be a lot different in my life very very soon. I'm really struggling with all the change. I will be moving to Gulf Shores next month so that cuts off majority of my hog hunting. If you've read any of my posts you will know that that is my life. It worries me greatly that something will happen to dad hunting by himself and I won't be here to help him. I worry that they will replace me. I won't be the girl that's always at the hunt or always on the sandbar anymore. They'll forget all about me. I guess this is how things have to be though... rough.
